For those who have an interest in counselling and psychotherapy, whether as practitioners, clients or students, this book provides a clear, well-explained account of theory which underpins Gestalt Psychotherapy.
The text is based on the first year of a training course leading to the qualification of Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist and gives a full explanation and discussion of key concepts in this field. Written in jargon-free, easy-to-read style, the book clearly explains the principles of Gestalt and relates these to everyday life.
As well as offering a comprehensive narrative of Gestalt psychotherapy, this beautifully written book chronicles the changes in the writer’s own perception of herself and her family is a series of illuminating and moving recollections.
